Wisdom in action : Archetypes of ethics
Claudia CardelliWe all want to act to do good, but we often lack the wisdom so that our action is really ethical, which means just and generous, a source of happiness for all.
How to acquire this wisdom? As Rolando Toro following Spinoza expresses it clearly, our ethical conscience opens out when we manage to integrate our affectivity and our intelligence, and that requires above all that we enter in deep connection with the sacred power of LIFE.
We can then transcend our ego and wake our heart to the very source of ethical action, which is unconditional love. Not passionate greed for what we miss, but the joy of being linked to each ALIVE.
We propose to stimulate our wisdom by calling upon the human figure of divine love and of caring for the sacredness of life, which is the archetype of Christ, by dancing-in-vivencia the great virtues to which Jesus invites us in his famous sermon on the mountain : simplicity, courage, softness, purity, mercy, justice.
A poetic invitation to enter at the present moment into the "kingdom" of happy life and to intensify our determination to create together a paradise world.

The dance of the synergies or the poetics of working together
Patricia Piva AicardiBiodanza® is a marvellous opportunity for identity development, relationships re-learning, and on a larger scale, for ecological blossoming.
As a way of growth, Biodanza® offers the possibility to totally express one's identity in order to live and to fully occupy one's vital space and one's place within the world. It invites everyone to give up dominating/dominated-type relationships and to eventually work together and dance the synergy of one's resources.
«Vivencially»-wise, the theme will be mainly developed through the creativity and the affectivity lines. The link with the topic of this congress, «Biodanza® in action», resides in the synergy of the group through work, improving and vitalising the personal and the group blossoming.

Participation : approaches and viability of humanitarian and social intervention
Dov RosenmannThe objective of this conference is to share experiences and knowledge which make it possible to clarify the elementary and essential principles of the instauration of a social and humanitarian intervention that is durable and respects human rights in their entirety.

A debate will be open on the topic of the Guarantee of Rights System, placing the observation of social action within its legal limit. The concepts of participation, of gender (men/women/children) and of citizenship will be approached in order to allow us to reflect around the public policies of social action.

Afterwards, the topics relating to the organisational models and to the orientation of the social movements will bring us to discuss about the efforts of the Biodanza movement in promoting human relations and a society which values life. Throughout the conference, concrete cases and case studies will be presented so that the participants can visualize the vast panorama of the problems related to a durable social intervention.

Keys of transformation in Biodanza®
Marcelo MurBiodanza® is a system of human integration of verified effectiveness that puts into action a process of gradual individual change. Simultaneously, its great complexity requires from the facilitador high skill and ample sensitivity. To understand in depth as the Biodanza® works, to deepen in the action mechanisms that favour the evolutionary individual process, means the professor to acquire greater competition in the own profession. In his to build, the professor of Biodanza® offers factors of transformation dynamically connected, precise directives and a process. The explanation of these mechanisms of action will be accompanied by observations made in many years of professional experience. The objective of this conference is to individualize the keys that allow to apply with greater effectiveness the Biodanza® system.

Application of Biodanza with visual deficiendies at the Blind People Union in Nice
Emmanuel RauzierLike every social, cultural and physical deficiency, visual disability leads us to another way of perceiving the world. Encountering this perception is a wonderful adventure that I propose to share with you. I want to try to make you touch the world of those who see in the night, to try to make you hear their voices. Through the history of our Biodanza group at the Blind Union of Nice, I am going to bear witness to a collective work of exchange and support where numerous sighted facilitator friends came to meet those who see differently. I am going to tell you how we walk, how we express ourselves, how we dance, how we meet each other, how we are linked together inside the round, which is enriched by our differences. I am going to make you share the history of our gropings, our hesitations, our discoveries, our clashes, our innovations, our improvisations, our vagueness, our determination, our creativity, our emotions and our trust. Biodanza helps us to rid ourselves of cultural prejudice about handicap to make way for an area of liberty, affectivity and creativity. I hope that you will be touched by the beauty of our common humanity that reveals itself in the meeting of diversity.

Biodanza in action : The inner force of brotherhood
Giovanna BenattiThe faith in the inner power to give and receive love, permits the creation of human networks, which are made of brotherhood. To be able of loving is reality and perpetual and this capacity cant'never be broken, never. To open doors at the relationship reveals the power of love, which gain to fear, angry, loss : healing ourselves and feed our desir to be happy and free. Love lives in the contact, which open the way to relationships and to listen by the heart emotions and body's voice. The road of brotherhood is real, sure and possible.

Love in Action
Marie Françoise CharrièreLove expresses itself and acts within us all, from the indispensible love for oneself to all forms of love we have given or received, undifferentiated or differentiated, until the causeless state of feeling “in love” with Universe. To live love in daily life is, first of all, feeling this force pulsing within us opening one's heart, growing in this state, and than dare reveal this love for life, and experience the force of healing to embody it at all moments and enter in sacredness of Life. To dance is an act of Love which heals us, reconstructs us and sets us free from the limits we have set to ourselves. So let's open ourselves to love and to its healing power, let's open our eyes to the beauty of one another and of the world, and let's act from our heart. “Paradise is the relation we have with the world, when this relation begins at our heart.” Rolando Toro.

In accordance with this quotation of Rolando Toro Araneda and the subject of the Symposium, we propose a vivencia:

In action, with eyes closed,to dive better into the undifferentiated, to feel then act according to our preferences, in deep connection with ourselves, ready for the authentic meeting to honor the alive.

Biodanza and social inclusion:
Study of a mixed group of young adults with Downs Syndrome,
Autism and other physical and cerebral difficulties
Claire LewisThis will be a communication about the last 6 years work with a group of people with mixed disabilities, in a special centre in Edinburgh (the Garvald Centre), including a short video and talk, which will highlight some of the rehabilitative effects of Biodanza on motor co-ordination, expression and social communication within this group. In the UK these types of disabilities are often referred to as ‘learning disabilities'. Certain limitations, in terms of communication and expression, are often anticipated, especially in cases of autism which can vary significantly from one person to another. However, within this regular group of Biodanza, in which care workers at the centre are fully participative, an extraordinarily deep affective level of human communication and expression is experienced, and celebrated.”

The Continuum Principle
Carlos Hugo Garcia VarelaWhat happens when the emotional needs of human beings in infancy is not fully satisfied? This is the thinking that led to Jean Liedloff to write his book "The continuum concept" Studying the yequanas, a tribe of the Amazon jungle of Venezuela, was impressed by his zest for life, their emotional form of coexistence, his extraordinary ability to enjoy life, and above all, gentle and respectful treatment of men and women between adults and children and among them. According Liedloff the key is in the continuum of the mother-baby link, leaving it to regulate its gradual process of independence. Rof Carballo called this process "warp", the emotional core network that supports the development of capacity to engage in relationships, harmonious and peaceful, with others, with oneself, with the world. According Liedloff "A culture that requires people to live in a manner for which its evolution has not prepared, not fill their expectations and that innate press therefore, the adaptability of them beyond their limits, is doomed to damage the personality of its members. " Can we repair the rupture of the continuum? The answer is Yes! Biodanza reconstruct the plot in each session of the concept of continuum, the emotional network. We arrived in Biodanza beings as "normal" but as a species whose specific needs were not met and throughout the session is slow and invisible weaving warp emotional The concept of Continuum reveals the intimate relationship between evolutionary, affection and culture and shows us what human society may be different: non-violent and peaceful emotional. That is our challenge as facilitators Biodanza.

Biocentric philosophy - Ethics and deontology in Biodanza
Bruno GiulianiThe biocentric philosophy is not a system related to any philosopher. It is the thought of any human being who expresses his connection to life.
Based on "the intuition of a living universe on which one depends, an ethics which puts in the center of the human behavior the sacred dimension of the life" (Rolando Toro), it is a vivencial phenomenology that invites each one to transcend the ego in order to perceive the essence of the life in himself, others and the universe.

Of what does exactly this ethics consist? Hedonist and eudemonist, it is a poetic perception of the world that drives spontaneously to an absolute respect for the life. Contrary to the morality of the duty, the biocentric ethics is an art of happiness which commits to a politics of love in all the dimensions of the society.

Meeting the intuitions of Spinoza, it invites to an educational and cultural revolution to create a new civilization which places the culture of the enjoyment in the heart of institutions.

How is it possiblie to put this ethics into practice ? Is Biodanza enough to acquire it? In what deontology does it invite us in and outside the vivencia?

The "Incubator" is a reflection and a proactive implementation of the Biocentric Principle in the domain of "Living Together". Urbanistic and architectural, economic and social, cultural and family aspects... There are areas to explore!
The project foresees an implementation in the medium term. It includes numerous sub-projects and it is fed by personal projects.

Need for applying a biocentric education right from the start of Life
Martine HenkartProject: "Naissances": for a perinatal prevention, for an original education, for a global health.

Two Biodanza teachers, in addition experts in the perinatal field (one gynecologist haptonomist, the other perinatal physiotherapist) alerted by the serious anti-Life drifts existing in our society around the birthing process, are developing a project providing an accompaniment for the pregnant couples and their babies. From the time of the preconception, the pregnancy, the birth and until the first year of life of this new family, we wish to propose to them a nourishing and secure environment, fertilized by our attentive, sustaining and welcoming action, the goal being to support the physiological processes of connection to Life.

« The art of Caressing in life »
How «Biodanza end Education to affective touch» (Educazione al Contatto) " propose Caress and Massage in Biodanza
Edoardo FabbriA caress is the key for an harmonic contact/touch, a caress is warming, winding, salutary! A Caress is the most developed expression of our desire to give Love… Through this vivencia/exercise we shall give ourselves the permission to «Be a Caress». Our whole body, our senses and our gestures will be full of tenderness and of all the shades that colours shed letting our lives become wonderful!! When we are deeply connected with another human being and express by caressing, the caress becomes a massage: it is in these moments that Love occurs and guides our gestures with wise harmony. Being able to go deeper into the vivencia of Massage of Biodanza means being able to deal with the energy we put in our touch, establishing a relationship in feedback with the person we have are in contact with. It is an art to give pleasure.

Knowing how to care
Raùl TerrenTaking care of each other, taking care of life, knowing how to take care. This is without doubt the strategy that allows humanity to flourish and for people to be happy. Romantic love is something wonderful, but few among us know that underlying its enchanting encounters is a dynamic of love, less spectacular, but none the less necessary for any kind of relationship to grow and develop. Learning how to take care is learning to show gentleness in everyday communication, and to allow human tenderness to emerge as the primary condition for the continued existence of humanity. A course of Biodanza is the ideal context for us to develop in all its splendour our ability to care. Let us learn to take care of ourselves, to take care of each other, to take care of life: thereby enabling us to perceive and feel the pleasure of being human. The ancient myths and the most profound contemporary thinkers teach us that the human essence is not to be found in intelligence or freedom or creativity, but essentially in the ability to care.

Fluidity, confidence, coherence :
Some keys for individual and collective happiness
Thierry JanssenWe have invaluable tools for the prevention and cure, both for our individual sufferings and our collective diseases: fluidity, confidence and coherence. By developing these human qualities, we get in touch again with the vitality which is in us. Life requires that we remain fluid, that we remain confident and that, especially, we express as much coherence as possible between our thoughts, our words and our acts. “It's at this price, tells us Thierry Jansen, that we will be able to continue to dance with life!”

Back to the source of pleasure
Isabella CasadioThe immediate adhesion to the life is comes from one's discovery of the body as a source of pleasure and in the sweet and charming, kind and sincere communication with the other.

We invite you discover and enjoy again the moving pleasure of being a body, of dancing with emotion, and of receiving music in state of great receptivity that brings us to enter in sensitive and intense contact with the others.

It is from the arising of desire and pleasure that springs the generative force of life.

"Those who hope"
A unique experience of a Biodanza® application with a group of women whose lives have been directly or indirectly touched by cancer. With Isabella Lawira facilitating, the participants dance and enjoy themselves while at the same time collaborating on this documentary film project with enthusiasm and conviction. This film will be seen for the first time at the Symposium and seeks to portray the adventure these women embarked upon. The starting hypothesis is to verify the impact of Biodanza® on the moods as well as the lifestyle of people living with the challenge of having cancer (diagnosis, treatment, existential questions, one's relationship to life). What was a simple video project has evolved into a major collective undertaking, which has included fund-raising to finance their trip to attend the Symposium. These courageous women will be among us to tell us about their experience, to answer questions, to relate their hopes and their love of life. They live in Quebec, Canada.

Towards authenticity: a way of rebirth through the other
Isabella CasadioIn an era characterized by extraneity, superficiality, fragmentation, alienation and massification, the right to pursue an authentic existence seems to be a luxury for few.
In the ordinary language, however, the term authenticity is used as a synonym for sincerity, spontaneity, truth, originality. According to these meanings, a person is authentic when, for example, she is sincere with herself and with the other, when she doesn't fall in falsity, deceit or hypocrisy. During the years of my research, when I was preparing my doctorate in Education, I was able to identify some aspects that, however, characterize authenticity in a specific way and widen it's commonly meant signification.
To be authentic means to be faithful to «the inner self». It is a possibility of renewing one's own birth, beginning from one's own discovery and thanks to the other. It is a condition that is never reached completely, but that suggests directions of sense for the path of life.
In this search towards the authenticity, Biodanza® becomes the privileged instrument in order to reveal, maintain or find again the right path.

From the lunar woman to the solar one
Agnès DeveuxThe mysterious lunar energies, arising from the profound instincts of womanhood, are the instinctive inner forces, which are the source of behavior and action in the sun of existence. These instinctive forces, which sometimes scare or attract men, are strongly determined by childhood memories and memories transmitted by an ancestral lineage. Saturated with energy, they are the feminine power. Only through awareness, attention and presence to the Self, meditation, prayer, can the process of transformation happen : the passage towards clarity and action. Then, all the actions we engender are inspired by our inner being. Moon and Sun associate to enable us to find the profound essence of the feminine.

Man to Men
Guillaume HussonMen are beautiful.
Considering that rehabilitation of beauty is probably one of the greatest challenges of our cultural and existential pathway, greedy for useful stuff. Viscerally linked to the enchantment of beauty, the emerging ethical conscience irrigates us with a vivencial reality: brotherhood is not only possible; it is also a major expression of masculinity.
Sons and fathers, sowers and travellers, companions and lovers, heirs and genitors... brothers: we need to meet, to retrieve the ancestral rites of men who help and reinforce each other to fathom life.
Dancing together stirs the Fire: the fraternal relationship to ourselves and a world populated by beautiful brothers.

Spirituality and biocentric mysticism
Raùl TerrenSpirituality can be defined as "the quest for meaning". This search for the meaning of our existence began thousands of years ago – and it continues today. The close association between the biocentrism and spirituality shows that we should seek this meaning in the act of living and how we express ourselves each day; not in religions, or transcendental philosophy, or in abstract concepts of gods or souls beyond our perception. There is but one divinity: life. Our proposal is to honour life in all its grace and majesty. Theology and morality invented the spiritual body to deny the extraordinary divine flesh and blood of our own physical bodies. The essential meaning of life is missing from the traditional image of the bleeding body of a man on the cross, or of a man sitting with his eyes closed without any physical connection with others. The body must be the new starting point for spirituality. It is essential for the body once again to be an integral part of spirituality. The image of the body that we want to reinstate is of one obviously in full connection with life in the here and now, such as a woman giving birth or a couple making love. Crafted long before the intervention of theology and morality, the Venus of Willendorf clearly shows the human body exuding life, as do the sculptures at the temples of Khajuraho which show us the entwined bodies of lovers making love. The possibility of experiencing this spirituality opens the doors for us to "biocentric mysticism", a space of deep connection with life, itself retrieving its message of cosmic wisdom. Biocentric mysticism embodies the "meaning of life" into our everyday experience.

Biodanza Solidarity : Considerations for a concerted, supportive and biocentric action.
Olivier DettwilerIn Biodanza, we put the stress on the values of solidarity, love and altruism. We aspire to a life based on affection and social links whilst, on the other hand, we operate under the rules of an economic system which increasingly shows its limitations. Aren't there a paradox that needs to be questioned and a challenge to meet? If the values of Biodanza are connected to the dance of life and the solidarity which that engenders, what is our movement doing for and with the world and how coherent are we with what we convey? During this round table, we propose to elaborate certain avenues of thought concerning the development of a solid way forward within Biodanza and through concrete intervention, share thoughts often spoken about outside of the Biodanza movement. We will bring to light some initiatives to envisage concerted, concrete and biocentric action arising from participants and ourselves (school directors, didactician, facilitators). This proposition is set down with a willingness to share our different experiences in order to heighten our awareness of the importance of a more ethical, unified and biocentric society. The world urgently needs renewing and these values are preliminary to any notion of durable development.

Biodanza with people with mental handicap
Agnès Von BurgA weekly Biodanza course with mentally handicapped persons takes place in Sion (Switzerland), for the past 14 years. I wish to share with you about this experience, its unfolding, week after week, its goals, the discoveries I made and the thoughts, which they inspire in me. In general, mentally handicapped are considered "abnormal" beings, with a more or less negative sense, depending on the dominant cultural influence. With the bio-centric vision of Biodanza, they are considered as whole human beings, "different", in the sense that identity implies always the state of being exceptional. This perspective is rehabilitation in itself, so is, also, the practice of Biodanza with mentally handicapped. This being said, we will speak about the goals of a Biodanza course with mentally handicapped, its structure and its unfolding. In videos, you will discover the different momentum of a vivencia, and observe certain processes, in detail. Their real cognitive and motor limits make us sometimes face their suffering. But mostly, their vulnerability awakens ours, and we unite in the encounter, with our divine children. Having been invited into their world of innocence, I step out after the course refreshed and happy. It is one of the beautiful gifts, which we receive from these mysterious beings, whom Biodanza leads us to see as marvelous.

The Myth of Eros
Alain LauwaertThis vivencia invites us to live ourselves the myth of Eros, god of Love, who builds his home in the heart of men and women, but not in any heart: he walks away from those that are hardened or closed.

The one that is touched by Love never walks in shadow.

The integrative role of tenderness
Carlos Hugo Garcia VarelaWe have been knowing , for years that the affectivity and tenderness, expressed as a caress, form the substrate of the identity in the healthy human being. We also know for years, that deprive human beings of love and caresses early in life, will develop various forms of disintegration of identity. But psychology continues to believe that the only solution for those, who have suffered emotional problems, is only the "awareness" of such trauma, because it is irreparable. However, we can say that Biodanza operate a real structural change of identity, from the psychological to the biological, just by stimulating, “here and now" an emotional and tenderness environment, that is not only important in early childhood, but throughout life.

The couple in action
From the ecological relation to the Cosmic Marriage
Nathalie ArnouldTo establish and to maintain ecological relations is one of the essential propositions of the BIODANZA system : according to Rolando Toro, the differentiated love is a major evolutionary step of the human being, an ontological development but also for the whole human species, a royal way which allies the unity of the creation and the diversity of the individuals. This workshop of Biodanza is going to stimulate our identity, from the trance towards the undifferentiated until the evolutionary jump: to have access to the continuum which reunites the ecological relation in the cosmic epiphany. This vivencia addresses all, in couple or not, in order to reach the vivencia of love as an initiatory way of transformation and self-realization.
